White Christmas

Happy New Year, CityStylers!

It has been snowing continuously in Chicago for the past week, and this has made it rather hard to stay chic and warm.  The way I decided to overcome this challenge? Well, I didn’t.  Yeah, that’s right, I made the decision to wear a sleeveless blouse and barely-there cutout tights in 20-degree-weather.  Though I admit it wasn’t one of my smartest sartorial choices, I was incredibly happy with how the look turned out.  I picked up this skirt from Target a month or so ago, and it has been laying in my closet with the tag still on it ever since then.  All-white ensembles have been seen everywhere lately, and I was eager to try it out on the quintessential winter holiday: Christmas.  I am in love with the completed look; it has a rather tropical feel (if that’s at all possible to achieve in Chicago’s weather?!) to it with the shoes and the bracelets, while the blouse and skirt class it up.  Though it may not have been one of my best choices comfort-wise, it definitely was the aesthetic I was going for.
